University
Located in the heart of Southwestern Ontario, Waterloo has long been recognized as one of the most innovative universities in Canada. Noted for their impressive Engineering and Computer Science programs, U of W also boasts the largest Post-Secondary Co-op program in the world with over 20,500 undergraduate students participating in work/study programs.
International students come to the University of Waterloo from 92 countries and make up 25 percent of UW graduate students and eight percent of undergraduates. There are work-study job opportunities available for international students on campus as well as a support office and social groups. Waterloo is already part of a 2+2 program in science, which allows students from China to earn degrees by studying for two years in their own country, followed by two years at Waterloo, and is exploring other opportunities for collaborative education.
